Rebecca Lynne was born at 9:45pm on Thursday, April 23rd. She weighed 7lb 9.6oz, and measured 19 3/4". Labor was a long, exhausting 27 hours, from when my water broke to when I heard "It's a girl!" I won't go into details about labor. I did have a wonderful support system (Glenn and my mom), and the Labor/Delivery team were also incredible. I wanted to take 1 of the post-partum nurses home!

I'm determined to make it through breastfeeding, though it can be frustrating and tiring. It can also be an amazing bonding experience between myself and Becca. I know it's the best choice for her nutrition. I am supplementing with formula, and also pumping for supplements as well.

That's life right now. I spend a lot of time watching tv and nursing Becca during the day when Glenn is at work. Glenn is exhausted too, but we both know it's worth it, and it won't be for too long. Eventually, she will sleep through the night and not want to breastfeed every hour. In a few weeks, I'll be going to a couple Moms' groups at the hospital, and I'm looking forward to those so much. It will be nice to get out of the house and be around other moms.

Though it's exhausting, I love being a Mommy and I LOVE my little Becca!
